Abstract

For companies to have a competitive advantage, it is crucial to know their human resources management processes.High investments on technology are not worthy if managers do not know exactly how his organizations work. This articleshows how there can be made analyses on those processes, and how, starting from their mapping, to obtain as by-productsthe determination of the exact number of employees needed to execute the functions, as well as the descriptions of the workpositions and the training needs. The methodology here proposed represents an adjusted version of IDEF (IdentificationDefinition) developed by the American Air Force to support his ICAM (Integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing) program, and is based on the proposals of the IDEF0 processes modelling method and of the IDEF3 activities modelling method.
