ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY STUDY ON SMALL RURAL PROPERTIES AFTER CHANGING THE BRAZILIAN FOREST CODE

Resumen

This article seeks to evaluate economic impact on a country estate to fit the effective enforcement of environmental legislation (Brazilian Forest Code) regarding the delimitation of Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs) and registration of Legal Reserve Areas (ARLâs) . In addition, we conducted a survey, identifying the areas to be preserved and productive areas. We evaluated all productive activities of the property, seeking to quantify the relevant receipts and proposed viable alternatives to the farmers, so that it can make the property economically viable and in full compliance with environmental standards. The study consists of a survey whose approach is descriptive. This is a survey that ranks with respect to the focus on qualitative and quantitative. Regarding the proceedings consists of a case study. It was found that the adequacy of small farm legislation caused significant decrease in income. However, making planning and deploying system Rotational Grazing Voisin (PRV) is possible to reverse the situation, raising the monthly income and respecting the norms.
