The use of industrial performance managerial indicators among agribusiness companies.

Resumen

This article aimed to identify the use of measurement performance indicators among agribusiness enterprises located in Paraíba. The field research was performed within 21 enterprises from agribusiness from eight sub-sectors. The following variables were studied: the profile of these organizations and the use of information related to measurement performance. A questionnaire was the instrument applied for data collection. Descriptive statistics was used as the analysis method.  It was observed that there is no specific profile regarding to time of market activity. As size of these enterprises, it was observed a significant amount of micro and small companies. It was also observed that among diversification strategies in manufacturing products, these enterprises explore other markets beyond their own region. Financial and non- financial indicators are used in 61% of them. Among the variety of indicators, the most used ones were unit costs and sale prices, as well as products quality and market share.
