Abstract

This article explores the Experience Economy, based on Pine and Gilmoreâs works, directly relating it to Industrial Engineering and entertainment activities concepts. Through new digital and visual technologies, new products and entertainment services are acting as experience activities. People are consuming and looking for more creativity and fantasy in productive activities, which is why businesses should follow this new tendency. Throughout this article, economics will be separated in four aspects: commodities, goods, services and the main focus of the article: experience, which we will define through characteristics and principles in order to manage businesses, create efficacy, and reach the expectations of those invited to this new level of economy.
