The meaning of the idea of culture, as well as main ideas in general, is flexible and susceptible to change over time. This text seeks to examine the fluctuations of the notion of culture and the ways in which it has responded to different historical contexts. In this way, through the historicization of contemporary context and its specific demands, we can observe and interpret with more certainty the radical paradigmatic changes which have undergone the uses of culture, its meanings and its practices.
