MULTICRITERIA APPLIED FOR SELECTING MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

The selection of Information Systems using multicriteria methods is a process discussed by severalauthors in the literature. However, this information is scattered and often present an isolated and specificanalysis. This article presents a compilation of 33 articles in the literature, providing the reader with areference with an overview on this topic. The articles were selected with the help of search engines availableon the bases Scopus, ISI, and Engineering Village, accessed through the CAPES periodicals portal. The surveyresults indicate a continuous growth in the number of articles published in the current decade, and the largestnumber of publications were conducted by authors affiliated to institutions located in Turkey and Taiwan,as well as the most used multicriteria method was AHP. Based on this survey, we can also conclude that thelargest number of multicriteria methods applications for the selection of Information Systems occurred forintegrated systems.
