This article aims at analyzing opportunities and present contributions to sustainability in construction.Developed based on bibliographic research on environmental responsibility and the analysis of answers ofthe questionnaire, for the data collection in field research. It is a closed questionnaire with objective questionswhose filling was made during interviews with managers of 16 companies building. The population studiedwas composed of companies representative of the construction industry. The statistical method used to collectdata was the method of sampling, and the criterion adopted for the selection of samples was the rationalchoice. From the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data were identified contributions to sustainability,which can be implemented by companies operating in construction.
