Inequality in meritocracy: examining how the access and use of Information Technology impact on the ENEM results

Abstract

This work investigates how IT impacts on the High School performance, through a research with descriptive character and quantitative-qualitative approach, using a survey with high school students and interviews with the directors of participantsâ schools in the ENEM. Schools with better infrastructure and use of IT assets in educational activities are for the most performance in the ENEM, as like use the IT in an extensive mode in order to strengthen community-school relationship.
